GT72 power issues : r/MSILaptops. Help! GT72 power issues. The short version: GT72 6QD has power issues when gaming. When battery and PSU are connected - PSU shuts down when gaming but laptop remains on until battery dies. When battery is disconnected (running on AC only) - laptop turns off when gaming but PSU remains on.
Other features include a FHD webcam, an SD card reader, Bluetooth 4.0 and impressively up to 6 USB 3.0 ports. MSI GT72 Dominator Pro G good IPS display and a working GSync. Single Review

If anyone else is having this problem, one thing to try (it may have been suggested before, I haven't read through all of this thread): - Search for 'battery' in your Windows bar. - Load up 'MSI battery calibration'. - Let it do its thing, it will discharge and begin charging again.
