Sandbox for me. I just don't like having pre-defined siblings. Being a lone adventurer like is more appealing to me. Classic Mount & Blade, you know. I don't care for the main quest. It's pretty cool I guess, but if you're playing as a non-heroic character it kinda ruins the RP.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Campaign vs Sandbox. Problem with Sandbox is your character start with 1 less attribute-focus points (how you escaped from raiders question is not asked in sandbox) and you dont start with a badass brother which is a perfect candidate of quertermaster position. Because of these I still play campaign.
Mount & Blade: Warband is the sequel to Mount & Blade. It expands almost everything about the game such as factions, graphics, items, features, mechanics, and adds multiplayer. Warband has the most active community around it, more mods, and the larger multiplayer community. Mount & Blade Warband is Mount & Blade with new features.
JohanGrimm. • 4 yr. ago. Bannerlord takes place 210 years before Warband, in an analogous period to the fall of the Roman empire. So unfortunately plate armor isn't really a thing for the time period. I always roll head to toe plate so I'll be waiting for mods. 34.ioVfPYO.
